The Pearson Clinical Assessments Annual Trainers of School Psychologists Professional Development Scholarship


Pearson Clinical Assessments, in collaboration with the Trainers of School Psychologists (TSP) will be awarding the Junior Faculty Scholarships and Graduate Student Scholarships for the 2013 TSP convention in Seattle, WA Individual awards will be provided on a competitive basis for an amount up to $500.

Junior Faculty Scholarships

Who is eligible?

  1. •Junior faculty in a school psychology program that is a member of the Trainers of School Psychologists

  2. •Junior faculty who have not been in academe for more than five years consecutively

  3. •Junior faculty who have received an acceptance letter for a TSP poster presentation or Junior faculty who have received an acceptance letter from NASP to present a paper, poster, mini-skills, and/or symposium

  4. •Please note that previous Junior Faculty Scholarship award winners are ineligible for the 2013 award.


Graduate Student Scholarships

Who is eligible?

  1. •Graduate students in a school psychology program that is a member of the Trainers of School Psychologists

  2. •Graduate students who have received an acceptance letter for a TSP poster presentation or Graduate students who have received an acceptance letter from NASP to present a paper, poster, mini-skills, and/or symposium

  3. •Please note that previous Graduate Student Scholarship award winners are ineligible for the 2013 award.


Applications for Both Junior Faculty and Graduate Student Scholarships


Please submit the following materials as part of your application:

  1. 1.Letter of application- Please provide a brief rationale for how the conference will advance your professional development

  2. 2.Abstract of the proposed paper as well as verification that the paper or poster has been accepted (please scan the acceptance letter and attach it with the rest of your documents)

  3. 3.Curriculum vitae

  4. 4.Proposed budget including any fiscal support provided by your university

  5. 5.Recipients must be present at the TSP Conference to receive the award 


Award winners will be publicly acknowledged and presented with a certificate and their check during the 2013 TSP Conference on Tuesday, February, 12, 2013.  The Trainers of School Psychologists Scholarship Committee will independently review submissions and rate them based on scholarly merit and potential positive impact. Particular priority will be given submissions addressing topics related to graduate training in school psychology. However, presentations related to other topics are eligible.


Please submit all materials electronically as one large file (PDF format preferred) to Natasha Segool at segool@hartford.edu  by January 18th. . Please put “TSP Junior Faculty Scholarship” or “TSP Graduate Student Scholarship” in the subject line.
